SSC (New Club Funding)

Special Services Council

New clubs that have registered with Student Activities are not eligible for a “USG Line Budget” until they have received and used SSC Funding for at least 2 consecutive semesters. To get started, visit SSC in SAC 202, room 216 to inquire about the details of the process. When you are ready, you can either fill out the paper form, or now you can use the online form below to apply for SSC Funding.

The first step is to download this template spreadsheet: SSC-Budget-Request

Use this to make an outline of what you plan to do with the money you are requesting. Be aware that the most you can request is $3000 for base funding and special event (this number will decrease as the semester progresses from fall to spring). With SSC Funding, unlike Line Budget funding, the SSC and the Senate have an opportunity to approve or deny each line of your request, so make sure you are as detailed as possible. Use your budget outline to make a good case for your club’s need for funding, and show what you will do to further our mission of maximizing the use of the Student Activity Fee to benefit all Undergraduate Students.
