The Vice President of Academic Affairs coordinates all Undergraduate Student Government operations in the area of academic policy. He is the USG representative on all University policy-making bodies that have jurisdiction over undergraduate academic affairs. He is the USG liaison to the faculty and administration. He creates and maintain policies that will ensure that the USG is effectively responding to academic issues affecting its undergraduate membership. He formally recognizes faculty members that are making strong contributions to
student development, inside and outside the classroom.
In the Spring Elections, the VP Academic Affairs position went uncontested with no candidates. There will be an election in the Fall to elect a VP of Academic Affairs. The President of USG has appointed the previous VP of Academic Affairs, Shammel Forbes as the interim PASS Director.
The VP of Academic Affairs is the chair of the Bureau of Academic Groups.
