Since being elected to the USG, I have been trying to familiarize myself with the way the Senate is generally run. In order to best accomplish this, I have also been allocating much of my time studying the Robert’s Rules of Order and my lovely new binder! I have been placed on two committees thus far – namely, the Academic Affairs Committee and the Programming and Activities Committee. Although I have not met with these committees as of yet, I am greatly looking forward to collaborating with them and to share my ideas. I am looking forward to working with the USG and cannot wait to become more involved once I become more comfortable with the procedures of the government.
