Executive VP deferred Items 2.0 and 3.0 until after the Budget.

1. Minutes from 4/16/09

Several clarifications to the printed copies. First, Sen. Bose was absent at the 4/16 meeting. Second, the minutes reviewed at the last meeting were from 4/2/2009 NOT 3/26/09. Sen. Benelyahoo made a motion to approve the minutes. Seconded. After no debate a vote was taken by voice. Motion #2 carried.

1. 2009-2010 Budget

Commenced at 7:17

The Treasurer presented the budget to the senate. The budget was unanimously approved by the Budget Committee. The line items were reviewed and several were discussed by the senate. Several clubs/activities have no budget allocated. This is due to failure to submit budgets by the deadline.

-Several line items were discussed.

Sen. Hauptman made a motion to approve the budget. Seconded. A brief discussion was held. A vote was taken. Motion #1 carried 17-0-0. The budget was passed.

1. Open Agenda

Sen. Brady thanked Treasurer Vanessa for the work done on the budget. A round of applause was given.

Pres. Akita addressed the Senate and the gallery. He thanked the senators for their hard work throughout the year and congratulated them on passing the budget.

Elections are next week.

Executive VP Malieckal congratulated the budget committee for their hard work.
